The rocks, pine trees and lakes of the Canadian Shield are one of my favourite subjects to paint. This painting is of a point in a lake in the Kawarthas, Ontario, Canada. |
A rainbow colored windswept tree growing out of the rocks by the shore of a lake. Contrast this with the painting to the right, "Wind-swept Tree" which is how this little pine tree actually looks. |
A wind-swept tree on a rocky shoreline of a freshwater lake. The same tree has been painted with a surreal approach and is entitled "Rainbow Tree No. 1" |
June, in the Rocky Mountains, and the mountains still have snow caps. The beautiful turquoise lakes with the dark green of the evergreen trees creates the most beautiful setting for a picnic on a lazy summer afternoon. |
A lone pine tree on an island reflecting in the still waters of a Kawartha lake in the Canadian Shield. |
Winter has arrived in the North! Shadows reflecting on the snow on a frozen lake. Big Cedar Lake, Burleigh Falls, North Kawartha, Ontario. |
Spring means Maple Syrup, to those of us that live in Ontario, Quebec, New York or Vermont. This beautiful Sugar Shack is where the sap was traditionally boiled and converted into the Maple Syrup we love to put on our pancakes. |
The rushing and tumbling water crashes and cascades down the falls at Athabasca Falls, Alberta, Canada in the Rocky Mountains. The little pine tree precariously balanced on the ledge on the upper left has now, unfortunately, gone. |
Majestic Rocky Mountains, beautiful Alberta and Bow Lake. The snow and the mountains reflecting onto the still blue water of Bow Lake. The late Spring sun warms the earth and the greens get greener. |
Small farms and farmland seems to be fast disappearing in North America. This century farm's barn and silo are a wonderful site nestled in the background against a field of grain and a good old-fashioned pond or watering hole. |
Rocks, Pines and the fresh water of a Canadian Lake. Ontario has 250,000 lakes and this is only one of them! This painting was featured in an article in Kawartha Life magazine. |
The ungainly, but beautiful, heron in flight across the water of a freshwater lake. This large bird leaves droplets of water creating ripples in the lake. |
Prints are available for most paintingsWe found Debbie's print of The Sugar Shack on the Fine Art America website and after contacting them, we made our purchase. From the beginning of our purchase until the final delivery to our house, we were most impressed with the courtesy we received and the professionalism of the people at Fine Art America. The service was fast, the print arrived on time as promised by the carrier and it was in excellent condition. There were no hidden or additional fees to be paid upon receipt. The postage and handling were reasonable for international delivery. The print we purchase is beautiful. We commend Debbie for her talent in capturing the beauty of the scene. Her selection of colours and presentation of the buildings bring the moment to life. The print is further enhanced by the professional manner in which it is framed. This was our first experience in purchasing a piece of artwork without seeing it first but we must attest that we are most pleased with the end results and we will have this print to enjoy for years to come. |
