Debbie Homewood is a Canadian landscape watercolor artist who paints transparent and traditional watercolors and whose passion is to interpret the Canadian, American and English landscapes.
The demands of landscape painting make watercolor a perfect medium. The essence of watercolor is transparency, luminosity and fluidity. Washes allow light to be reflected from the surface of the paper through layers of colour. This technique gives watercolor its unique glow and allows colours to be mixed by the viewer's eye creating a very individual visual experience, interpreting the complex and subtle aspects of landscape.
Debbie's watercolor paintings are in homes and galleries in Canada, the USA and England.
